Who can you count on

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for covering us in your love, thank you for always being there for us, thank you for your warmth and care for us. Thank you Lord for delivering us from the strongholds in our lives and thank you for being a true Living God who always comes through for us. Father let your love transcend into every area of our lives, help us to realize the true joy of having you in our corner. Help us to walk in love towards others as you have to us. Soften our heart and open the eyes of our heart so that we can walk in your ways. In Jesus Name Amen

Have you ever felt like you are going through this life alone, like you have all these people around you but still feeling like you are on your own? It is easy for people to be around when things are good or if they need you for something. But what about when you are no longer needed and things are not so good? When you want to share your burden who can you turn to?

We love him because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19 (NKJV)

The good news is people may let you down however God does not we can always count on Gods Love For Us. We are never alone, God does not forsake. God loves you and you are precious to him. Gods love is everlasting. He is eagerly waiting for us to pursue and grown in relationship with him. God is dependable, reliable and faithful!!

But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

It is a big thing to grasp that while we were hard in hearts and depending on everything but God, God still loved us and gave the greatest sacrifice his son our Lord Jesus Christ to save YOU and me.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4:8 (NLT)

You are loved. You are valued. You are chosen. You are cared for. You are never alone. You are worth saving. He is waiting for you to accept and to grow in relationship with him.

How much are you really encouraging others? When is the last time you checked up on someone you have not heard from in a while? Have you responded to that message someone sent you? We all need encouragement at some point, lets walk in love today as God has on to us.

Faith while Longing

Lord thank you for always covering us in your love, thank you for remaining the same, thank you for your mercies, thank you for your faithfulness, thank you for your promises, thank you for your thoughts towards us, thank you for turning what the devil meant to break us for your good, thank you for being the best friend a person can have. Father help us Lord to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh to labor in love and to not grow weary in doing good. Help us Lord to wait patiently on your direction and guidance, cast out any mind blockages which try to bring doubt to who we are in you and our purpose in our walk with you. Soften our hearts and open the eyes of our hearts so we can see your will. In Jesus Name Amen.

Longing for spiritual gifts, career opportunities, marriage, children, house, friendships, education etc. Waiting for things you desire can be difficult when you can not see how it will all come together. Feelings of disappointment, frustration, impatience may try to creep in as you wait.

Doubt: a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction                               Faith: complete trust or confidence in someone or something

So Jesus answered and said to them ‘Have faith in God’

Recently I have been undergoing a battle in my mind, doubt was trying to take over, telling me I’m not good enough and that I can not do this. No one cares about your problems, just about what you have to offer. It is all LIES but for a moment I was feeling overwhelmed and lacking in confidence.

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  Ephesians 6:16 (NKJV)

These thoughts arose whilst I was walking in faith and praying for a breakthrough in a current battle, in the process someone dear to me was learning to trust God and growing in their relationship too. There has been progress in this battle. This is when the negative thoughts arose, I am under spiritual attack, trying to break down my shield of faith to hinder Gods purpose for my life. God does not bring confusion and doubt. It’s a dangerous place when we walk in doubt rather than faith, it can lead us down a different path than what God has in store for us.

Abraham’s wife Sarah’s longing for a son, as years passed doubt began to creep in. She got her servant to have child with Abraham. The doubt led her into taking things into her own hands as she lost faith in Gods word coming to pass. She then had to deal with the consequences as her servant conceived a child for Abraham (Genesis 16). 

I have definitely been like Sarah and took things into my own hands as I allowed what I was longing for to become such a pressing issue. I wanted a relationship, I allowed doubt to rule as I started to believe that I would never have someone, I devalued my self and settled for a relationship not from God which caused me pain and lost a good friend in the process as it was not what God had in store for me.

 And he said ‘I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son’. (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him). Now Abraham and Sarah were old. Well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of child-bearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself…             Genesis 18:10-12 (NKJV)

‘Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son’.

Genesis 18: 14 (NKJV)

Do not allow what your longing for to hinder your purpose, have faith in God he is working everything out just not on our watches. Nothing is too big or too hard for Jehovah to do. Do not let mind blockages hinder your thoughts about your Creators abilities to make things possible. God can not be put in a box he can do so much for us, all we need to do is have faith and trust it will come to pass.
